Reliable, High-Speed Internet from Xfinity Now Available in Anderson County, TN

Nearly 800 Homes and Businesses Connected to America’s Smartest and Most Reliable Converged Network

Comcast connected nearly 800 new homes and businesses in Anderson County, Tennessee to reliable, high-speed Internet from America’s smartest and most reliable converged network.  Through a public-private partnership with Anderson County, enabled in part by funding from the Tennessee Emergency Broadband Fund through the American Rescue Plan Act, this project expanded access to Xfinity services across the county. Xfinity brings Internet, mobile, entertainment, and smart home services into one simple, seamless solution – giving customers more speed, savings, and control over their connected lives.  Anderson County now joins the nearly 65 million homes and businesses nationwide with access to a network that fuels innovation, productivity, and everyday connection. 

“Reliable Internet access is essential for our community’s growth and for preparing our students for success in the year ahead,” said Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank. “This investment by Comcast strengthens Anderson County’s infrastructure while directly supporting local families and young people. We appreciate Comcast’s continued commitment to our county and partnerships that make a real difference.”

To celebrate the completion of the project and help students start the new year connected and prepared for success, Comcast hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony last month at Girls, Inc. of the Tennessee Valley, where the company launched a new Lift Zone – a community space that provides free, high-speed Internet and digital resources to support learning and skill-building. During the event, Comcast surprised 40 participants with new laptops and awarded the organization a $10,000 grant. This grant is part of Project UP, Comcast’s $1 billion commitment to help more people connect to the internet, create digital opportunity, and build a future of unlimited possibilities.

Residents can now sign up for Xfinity services, including multi-gig Internet and Xfinity mobile, by visiting Xfinity.com/mytown.
